Saturday 16 March 2024 

A ridge of high pressure spreads over most of New Zealand on Saturday, but a cold front should move onto the southern South Island during the day. 


There is minimal risk of severe weather over New Zealand. 


Sunday 17 March 2024 

The cold front moves out to the east of the South Island on Sunday, with a weak ridge of high pressure covering the remainder of New Zealand.


There is minimal risk of severe weather over New Zealand. 


Monday 18 March 2024 

A weak ridge of high pressure should cover most of New Zealand on Monday, while a weak cold front moves northwards along eastern parts of southern and central New Zealand. 


There is minimal risk of severe weather over New Zealand. 


Tuesday 19 March 2024 

A high should spread over the South Island on Tuesday, while a south or southeast flow covers the North Island. 


There is minimal risk of severe weather over New Zealand.
